iPhone 7 has been available for a while. Basically, Apple’s newest flagship smartphone is a great phone, packed with never-seen-before features and functions. However, this doesn’t mean that iPhone 7 runs smoothly without any flaws.
In reality, there are several issues that you may face with Apple’s new flagship models ranging from poor battery life to Wi-Fi problems.
In this post, we will walk you through five most common problems with the iPhone 7 and how to fix them.
1. Poor battery life
Poor battery life seems to be a common iPhone problem and it pops up every time Apple launches a new iPhone. It seems that the problem doesn’t just disappear on the new iPhone 7. In reality, there is no permanent fix for the issue, as it is based on your usage pattern. However, there are some simple tips to deal with battery issues on your iPhone 7.
You can find out which apps are draining your battery and shut them down. Besides, we recommend you turn off background app refresh by heading to Settings > General > Background App Refresh > disable it.
2. No service after turning off Airplane mode
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where your device shows “No Service” after disabling Airplane mode? If you have, well you are not alone. The best shot for dealing with the issue is to hard reset your iPhone 7. Here is how you can do that.
Step one: First off, you need to press and hold the Lock/Wake button located on the right side of the device
Step two: Press and hold the Volume button on the left side of your phone while keeping the Lock/Wake button pressed
Step three: Keeping holding both buttons until the screen is off and you see the Apple logo
Step four: Wait for a few seconds until your device finishes booting up and you see the lock screen
If the problem still persists, try removing the SIM card from your iPhone and re-insert it.
3. EarPods remote not working
With the release of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple removed the traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack. Instead, the Cupertino company introduced a new pair of wireless headphones called AirPods. If you don’t want to spend some cash on buying the new AirPods, don’t worry because iPhone 7 ships with a Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter in the box.
However, many iPhone 7 owners have reported that the lighting to 3.5mm adapter and the EarPods remote fail to work properly after 5 minutes of inactivity. If you are experiencing the issue, update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
4. Wi-Fi problems
If you are having troubles connecting to a Wi-Fi network, try force restarting your iPhone 7. To do this, you simply need to hold down the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo.
If the problem still persists, try resetting network settings by heading to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings.
5. Bluetooth connectivity problems
If you cannot connect your iPhone 7 to a Bluetooth device, here is how you can fix the issue
Step one: Launch the Settings app from your home screen and then select Bluetooth
Step two: Next up, locate your device from the My Device list, and then tap on the “i”
Step three: You now need to tap on “Forget This Device” and then reconnect it.
