iOS 10 is changing a lot of things that we have grown accustomed to since the original iPhone made its debut ten years ago. Described by Apple as the biggest iOS release ever, iOS 10 brings major changes to your daily phone routine. However, that doesn’t mean that iOS 10 runs perfectly on your iPhone without any flaws.
We have heard a lot of problems iPhone owners are facing with Apple’s new operating system. Despite the fact that Apple released iOS 10.3 update to fix many iOS 10 problems, glitches and bugs still persist on your iPhone.
To help you fix some of the common iOS 10 problems, we have compiled a list of all the known issues and possible fixes, so make sure that you check them out below.
1. iOS 10.3 is slow to update
iOS 10.3 update comes with a handful of new features such as Find My AirPods, little UI changes, and theater mode for Apple Watch. However, some iPhone owners have reported that it takes too much time to install the update.
If you are one of them, don’t worry because Apple has re-arranged its filling system. With iOS 10.3 update, Apple has switched to Apple File System. Basically, Apple’s file system is much better at arranging your files and taking care of performance. So be patient!
2. Battery issues
iPhone has long been criticized for having a poor battery life. The problem pops up every time Apple releases a new software update, and that’s no different with iOS 10. Many users have reported that their iPhone batteries drop from 100 percent to 50 percent after updating to iOS 10.1.1.
Luckily, the problem has been fixed in Apple’s new iOS 10.3 update, so make sure that you are now running the latest version of iOS.
3. iPhone-crashing bugs
If your iPhone keeps crashing when you receive a text message, well you are not alone out there, as it seems that many iPhone owners are also having to deal with the same problem. The best shot for fixing the issue is to update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS 10. Keep in mind that a new software update usually comes with bug fixes and system enhancements.
4. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues
A lot of iOS 10 users have problems connecting their iPhone with a Wi-Fi network and Bluetooth devices. The best thing to do is to reset your network settings. To do this, head to Settings > General > Reset and Reset network settings. Keep in mind that this will not remove any data on your phone. Instead, your wireless networks will go back to their default settings.
5. Assistive Touch is not working in iOS 10.2
Assistive Touch is a great feature that allows you to control your device and perform some gestures on your iPhone. However, there are times when Assistive Touch becomes unresponsive and freezes in iOS 10.2.
To fix the issue, you can try disabling Assistive Touch and re-enable it. To do this, head to Settings > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch and turn off the switch and turn it back on.
